We believe our business is all about our people. We invest significantly in training and we are very proud that 60% of our workforce has come through our own apprenticeship scheme. This means we can instil our core values to our people at the start of their careers.
We have 150 core tradesman and a further 200 who have worked for us previously and on whom we can call when work is available. It is unusual for us to employ agency tradesmen. This means that all our teams are hand-picked so their skills match the job requirements.
New blood is brought in via our apprenticeship scheme where we take 3 or 4 apprentices each year. After three years they will attain an NVQ3 then we would provide a further 2 years training before we consider them the finished article.
In addition to their trade skills the majority of our workforce would be trained in CCNSG, abrasive wheels use, manual handling, working at height, harness use, BA equipment, confined space, bolted flange joints and slinger/banksman duties.
